{DIY} Graphite Chest

This week has flown by!  We have lots of projects going on around the house.  Unfortunately, I can’t show any of them yet!  Today I wanted to stop in and share another furniture makeover with you.

This piece was my Hubby’s Craigslist find.  I wasn’t crazy about it when I first saw it.  I like pieces that are more feminine and have pretty legs.  This dresser reminded me of a man’s bulky chest of drawers.  I used this as my inspiration for the paint colors.

For this piece I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White for the body and in Graphite for the drawer fronts.  I kept the original hardware but gave them a little update. (Tutorial soon)

I love the contrast.  I love the old finish peaking through the distressed spots.  I love the updated hardware.  I love it all!!  Apparently I am not the only one, because this piece sold immediately at RE.  (Yay!)

Thanks for stopping by!
